Board join track sections

Taking track across board joins can be difficult. Traditional method is to solder rails to paxolin strip, but this can get damaged. Also metal rail will expand and contract in different room temperatures.

Using small sections of 3D printed track, with simulated sleepers provides a very strong alternative. Sections can be fixed to baseboards using normal track pins.

Track on each board must have power supplied, and the short lengths of rail require wires attached to provide power to them. If the other rail expands or contracts, new rails should be used to connect them.

For simple straight track basic short sections are OK, but for track angled across join, longer sections can be put across join, and cut to correct angle.

For dockyard/tramway inset track, the 3d printed inset track can be used in same way.
