Victoria(London) line trains The Victoria line opened in 1968, the world's first full-scale automatic railway. Each train was started by a person in cab closing doors, an train proceeded safely to next station.  The original stock continued in service till 2011.  The Victoria line of only one of 2 London lines that were entirely underground, but similar stock also ran on part of the Central line.
